Song Of The Day!

We'll pretend I posted this yesterday, because I may have forgotten...
I did blog about Matt Corby ages ago, basically ranting about how sex oozes from every inch of his surface area. This definitely has not changed and I get to see it in person because I'm going to see him live in Leeds in November!! I am incredibly excited, I will probably be weeping in the first five minutes...
This song, Big Eyes, is my favourite Corby tune at the moment. The acoustic loveliness of Matt Corby's and Bree Tranter's voices together with the dulcet tones of Matt's guitar soothes my soul. If this song was a river, it would be made of chocolate and I would happily drown in it.

Blackout the light,
Maybe you're tired fall
Or stone cold.
You fumble and fight
With all the time you spend alone.

Cause it's only fair,
It's love and war,
And darkness is all you'll ever know
If I don't love you more.

Keep in your cage,
Withered by ageing eyes and skin.
You call this your home,
A colourful dragging dried up drone.

Cause it's only fair,
It's love and war,
And darkness is all you'll ever know,
Oh darkness is all you'll ever know,
Darkness is all you'll ever know
If I don't love you more.

Loveless sorrow kindly borrowed,
Only thing my soul's now hollow.
Loveless sorrow kindly borrowed,
Only thing my soul's now hollow.

Cause it's only fair,
It's love and war,
And darkness is all you'll ever know
If I don't love you more.
